Upcoming Trips

  • 2017 Guatemala Trip

    • Planned for October 14 through October 22, 2017. The cost is $1700. This will be a predominantly medical mission with our partner of Salud y Paz (www.saludypas.org).  Besides medical professionals, we welcome any non-medical professionals who have a heart for mission and serving others.  We always need things to take on our trip.  Although the date of departure seems a long way off, a collection container is in the collection area of the foyer to accept the following items:

Stickers (especially smiles)
Travel soaps/shampoos/lotion
Christian-theme coloring books
Reading glasses (dollar store are fine!)
Brown paper lunch bags
 Inflatable beach balls
Sidewalk chalk/bubbles

Financial contributions to the Guatemala medicine account are greatly appreciated.  We purchase our medicines through Salud y Paz, thus contributing to the Guatemalan economy.  Indicate ‘GUATEMALA’ on your check.  Most of all, we encourage new missioners to join us.  We would especially like to have younger missioners with us, especially college students or high school students with a parent or guardian.

  • 2017 Sierra Leone Mission Trip

    • Teams are being formed for this summer to go to Sierra Leone. Team dates are approximately June 8 to 22, and June 21 to July 5. Cost is approximately $3,000. Projects may include work with Heritage UMC High School/Kabala, Kabala School for the Blind, Kabala UMC Church and Primary School, and Nar Sarah Clinic. No skills are necessary, except an open mind. Each trip includes visits to remote villages and a day or two of relaxation (tourist oriented). The goal is to learn about a third world country, and how happiness is present in abject poverty. Learn how life takes place in a totally different environment.

    • 2017 High School Mission Trip

      • In 2017 the High School group went to Wellpinit, WA and worked with Sierra Service Project and the Spokane Tribe.  The Middle School group went to Alamosa and worked with Christian Community Service Projects.
  • 2017 Middle School Mission Trip

    • Each year the Middle school youth travel to Alamosa, CO. to help at La Puente or Christian Community Service Project.  The youth are involved in various projects to help the underserved of the San Luis Valley.
